Day 2: 9 Oct Thu (Pokhara to Kimche to Ghandruk)
Morning Departure
Got up early, packed, had breakfast at our hotel Durshain & walked to Top and Top hotel.
Traditional Nepali Blessing
There was a bus ready for us to go to Kimche, the place where we will start trekking. Before we boarded the bus, the hotel owner did a Nepali ritual of putting a vermilion mark on the forehead and putting a traditional shawl on each person. It was a nice feeling.
The Bumpy Road to Kimche
The road to Kimche was rough and bumpy, esp for the last 45 min. It was just rocks and stones.
Reached Kimche by noon, had lunch. Had a good view of the mountains.
First Trek!
Started the first leg of the trek after lunch. It was an easy hike. Some part of it was jeep road. Some was forest trail.
