Weather: Beautiful, lush and green
Day 1: 8 Oct Wed (Pokhara Basecamp)
Exploring Pokhara
Went out with Boni & Renjith Baby to see Pokhara - beautiful place, lush green mountains, paddy fields, huge lake - Lake Phewa.
We took scooters to see all the places - George & Renjith rode them, Boni and I took pillion rides. It was fun!
See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil
There were a lot of people doing paragliding. They do it in tandem with an instructor on a parachute, jump from the top and land in the valley. It looked really fun - I guess you would feel your stomach turning. We want to do it when we get time.
We did some shopping, Renjith took a pair of shoes for rent, Boni bought the traditional Nepali caps, I bought a beautiful green bracelet.

Thakali Lunch
Had lunch at a local restaurant. Thakali meals - delicious local cuisine! The main dishes are rice, dal, a potato dry dish, greens, pickle, papad and a special curry - we tried pork, chicken curry, and yak _____ (ask Boni).
