About Roaming Souls
Roaming Souls is the collective name for our batch from TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, Kerala - the Class of 1996. We've been friends for nearly three decades, having first met as wide-eyed engineering students in the mid-90s.
Over the years, life took us to different corners of the world. Some of us settled in India, others moved abroad. Careers flourished, families grew, but the bond we formed during those college years remained unbreakable.
This trek to Khopra Ridge was more than just an adventure in the Himalayas. It was a reunion, a celebration of friendship that has stood the test of time, and an opportunity to create new memories together.
Why Khopra Ridge?
We chose the Khopra Ridge Trek for several reasons:
- It's less crowded than the main Annapurna Base Camp trek
- Offers stunning panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, and other peaks
- Moderate difficulty suitable for our varied fitness levels
- Community-based lodges support local villages
- The spiritual significance of Khayer Lake
About This Website
This travelogue is a collaborative effort. Each member of Roaming Souls has contributed to documenting our journey - through daily journal entries, personal stories, anecdotes, and hundreds of photos.
This is a private journal, accessible only to our group members and close friends. It's our way of preserving these memories and sharing them with each other and our families.
"Some journeys are about reaching the summit. This one was about walking side by side, doing the hard thing together while having fun, with friends who made every step worth taking."
